The Fun Stuff

The best way to learn biochemistry is to make it your own.

Some of our favorite things to come out of BIOL 3030 weren't on any problem set. Students drew the scientists, wrote the songs, made the jokes, and recorded the episodes below. It's all here anonymously — no names, by design — but every bit of it was made by the people taking this course.

Biochemist Trading Cards

More than 750 students designed Studio-Ghibli-style trading cards of famous biochemists — each with stats and a short biography. Flip, sort, and browse the whole deck.

Biochem Meme Gallery

Original memes students made about the concepts in this course — a few favorites picked each semester. Proof that you understand something when you can joke about it.

Bio3030 Music

Original biochemistry songs, collected on the albums “Allosteric Anthems” and “The Hemoglobin Chronicles.” Yes, there is a hemoglobin ballad.

We Are Biochemistry

A student podcast — conversational episodes on enzyme mechanisms, metabolic regulation, and the rest of the course, in plain language.
